The Serbian Community: Charity Football Tournament raises over €900
We believe in the power of football, the world's universal language, to create positive change for individuals, families, communities, and the world.

For the first time in nearly two years, a number of well-known Serbian Footballers took part in a charity football tournament earlier this afternoon at Pietà Grounds to help improve the life of a particular family.

A total of eight teams took part, made up of participants across the Island and supported by staff from Pietà Grounds and Goalline League.
The winners of the tournament, Team Serbia, were awarded with a Trophy and Medals.
Speaking at the charity football tournament, Zvezdan Vukovic said:
“We take pride in organising large-scale charity events to support and raise funds for worthwhile causes that offer remarkable help to our society.
It was wonderful to see the Serbian Community coming together to spend a fun day playing football for charity. I am a great believer in the power of sport and think it can help provide focus and direction for almost anyone. Well done to everyone.”

Commenting, Duncan Mifsud, Pietà Grounds Coordinator, said:
“We are delighted to have hosted this event to raise funds for this family. The aim is to use football as a catalyst to help improve lives by motivating, and supporting those in need. The money raised from this event will be vital in our continued endeavours throughout the country.”
