The MGA Football Tournament

Pieta Grounds was the proud host of the Malta Gaming Authority Football Tournament, held on Friday 29th March, 2024.

The tournament was not just a sporting event, as all the proceeds generated from it will go to support the noble cause of Puttinu Cares.

Eleven teams participated in the tournament, which made an exciting day of football for all involved.

The teams were divided into three groups, in which eight teams progressed to the knockout phase, where the competition got even more intense. In the end, it was Casino Malta who emerged as the champions, winning the tournament against Malta Gaming Authority in the final match 4-2. It was a thrilling finale to a fantastic day of football, and both teams played exceptionally well throughout the tournament. In the 3rd and 4th place match, Amatex Malta managed to win 8-3 against Evolution Gaming.

Ultimately, it was a fantastic day for everyone involved, with great football on display and a worthy cause being supported. However, the real winners of the event were undoubtedly the beneficiaries of Puttinu Cares, who will greatly benefit from the proceeds generated by the tournament.

The generosity and kindness of all those who participated and donated will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need, and they should be commended for their efforts.

We want to thank the Malta Gaming Authority for using our services, and all of the participating teams that made this year's Football event a success.
